Moroccan Chicken Tagine

  • Clean the chicken with salt and a fresh lemon juice and try to rub well the meat with it and leave it for 5 minutes.
  • Wash the chicken and put it in a Tajin if presented (or the regular cooking pan).
  • Add the chopped onion, parsley and cilantro, garlic, vegetable and olive oil, salt, pepper, ginger, turmeric and stir the ingredient with the chicken until they all mix together.
  • Cooking: 
  • Put the tajin on a slow heat for 7 minutes then add enough water to cook the chicken for 45 minutes ,but if you are using the cooking pan let it cook for 30 minutes and add water for time to time.
  • 5 minutes before you turn off your heat, add the green olives and the sliced lemon to your tagine/pan also make sure you have enough sauce to dip in before you turn off the heat.


Put the chicken in your serving dish and serve with French fries on the top and eat with bread.
